Niamh Gallagher, a 21-year-old full-back from Ireland, has been a standout performer this season. Gallagher's contributions to Trailfinders' success are undeniable, as she made 16 league appearances, scored four tries, and kicked 25 conversions in her breakthrough campaign. Her eagerness to learn and train with top-end internationals, coupled with the guidance of Steven Shingler, the attack coach, has undoubtedly contributed to her growth.
Lisa Thomson, a two-time Olympian and Scotland center, has also re-signed with the club. Unfortunately, she missed the 2025/26 league season due to injury, but her last outing for Scotland was in the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 quarter-final, where they faced a tough exit to the Red Roses. Julia Schell, a 30-year-old full-back from Canada, has also penned a new deal with Trailfinders. Schell's performance at the Women's Rugby World Cup 2025 was exceptional, scoring six tries as Canada finished as runners-up to England. However, she sustained an ACL injury during the season, which required her to make only four PWR appearances.
